The MOBO Awards 2015 nominations have been announced

The 2015 MOBO Awards nominations have been announced by former Xtra Factor host and BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London at lunchtime today (September 30).

The awards which celebrate the UK's best music of black origin will take place at the Leeds First Direct Arena on November 4.

Krept & Konan, and JME are joint leaders of the pack with four nominations.

Krept & Konan, the 'Freak Of The Week' hit makers, are nominated for Best Male, Best Song, Best Hip Hip and also Best Album for 'The Long Way Home'. The album made history earlier this year by becoming the highest charting UK hip hip record when it debuted at No.2 in the iTunes chart.

Grime star JME scored four nominations including Best Male and Best Album.

Lianne La Havas and FKA twigs, follow close behind with three nominations each. La Havas is up for Best Female, Best Album and Best RnB/Soul.

Robert Pattinson's girlfriend, FKA twigs,is also up for Best Female, and has two nods in the Best Video category for 'Pendulum' and 'Glass and Patron'.

The 20th MOBO Awards will honour Wiley with the inaugural MOBO 'Paving The Way' Award.

Best album

Krept and Konan (The Long Way Home), JME (Integrity), Lianne La Havas (Blood), Wiley (Snakes & Ladders) and Jamie XX (In Colour).

Best male

Skepta, Mark Ronson, Krept and Konan, JME and Stormzy.

Best female

FKA twigs, Little Simz, Ella Eyre, Lianne La Havas and Jess Glynne.

Best song

Mark Ronson feat Bruno Mars (Uptown Funk), Skepta (Shutdown), Tinie Tempah feat Jess Glynne (Not Letting Go), JME feat Giggs (Man Don't Care) and Krept and Konan (Freak of the Week).

Best newcomer

Bugzy Malone, Section Boyz, Nao, Bonkaz, Nick Brewer, George the Poet, J Hus, Snakehips, Sinead Harnett and Yungen.
