Williams suing clothing label

Pharrell Williams is taking legal action against a rival clothing company, over a dispute with his own clothing line, Ice Cream.

The producer and rapper is suing managers at the Gilmar Group, after the company blocked a trademark application for his clothing brand.

The Gilmar Group are claiming the name Williams has chosen, is too similar to their already established labels, Ice and Iceberg.

However, Williams is fighting the block because he feels that the word "cream" - which is slang for "money" - adds a "vastly different sound, appearance, meaning and overall commercial impression."
