The late Stephen Gately's ashes are to be scattered on the first anniversary of the Boyzone star's death.

The secret ceremony will take place in Ireland on October 10, and the only Boyzone member attending the event will be Bandmate Keith Duffy, as the other Boyzone stars will be in Australia at the time.

Duffy has revealed that the ashes will be scattered in one of Gately's "favourite places".

Gately died at the age of 33-years-old from an undiagnosed heart condition, whilst he was on holiday in Majorca last year.
