Leona Lewis pulls Nigerian gig due to car bombs

X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, has been forced to cancel a one-off show in Nigeria after two car bombs exploded in the country's capital, Abuja.

The star was due to headline a celebration concert in Abuja, which would mark 50 years of Nigerian independence, but after hearing news of the explosions, which killed at least 12 and injured several others, the 'Bleeding Love' songstress pulled out of the show.

Lewis made the following statement, "Out of respect for those victims, it is with regret that I have had to postpone my performance."
