Gaga to make history with Grammys, Academy Awards and Super Bowl

Lady Gaga is not only set to become the first artist ever to play the Grammys, Academy Awards and Super Bowl all within a year, but all within a three-week period.

Gaga is set to perform the American national anthem before the kickoff of tonight's (February 7) Super Bowl. Her upcoming Grammy performance will be a tribute to David Bowie and take place this weekend on February 15, followed by an Oscars performance at the end of this month on February 28.

The American star was booked to play the Grammys ahead of Bowie's death, but her performance has been adapted since the iconic artist passed away, with Gaga expected to cover three or four Bowie tracks at the show.

At the Oscars this year, Gaga is up for the 'Best Original Song' award, which she co-wrote with Diane Warren.

The singer-songwriter is expected to release a new studio album in 2016 and has been in the studio with producers including RedOne and Mark Ronson in the past twelve months.

As we reported earlier this week Lady Gaga is also set to be the recipient of this year's Grammy Museum's Jane Ortner Artist Award.

The prize recognises artists who have displayed passion for promoting education through the arts.

The talented US star will pick up the award at the Grammy Museum's Jane Ortner Education Award Luncheon on April 4 at Ron Burkle's Green Acres home in Beverly Hills.
