Tyga says he was not to blame for Sir Paul McCartney snub

Tyga explained to Jimmy Kimmel yesterday (February 16) that he had no idea Sir Paul McCartney was turned away at the door to an event he was hosting post-Grammys on Monday night (February 15).

The 26-year-old rapper and beau to Kylie Jenner explained that he was merely paid 'to go and perform' at the event and only found out what had happened the morning after when he woke up and switched his mobile on to see a stream of texts.

In a spoof Green Room scene mirroring what happened to McCartney, Tyga explained to Kimmel that if he had known the Beatle was outside he would have passed him a microphone and got him up onstage. He tweeted an apology to the icon after the incident but hasn't heard back from him yet. He explained it wasn't his decision but the fire marshall's.

However, should McCartney wish to join him onstage at L.A.'s Nokia Theater on February 26, he would 'love' him to come.

Sir Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins and Beck turned up together and got turned away. In the Jimmy Kimmel chat, Tyga only mentioned Sir Paul McCartney.
