The Selecter return for 30th anniversary celebration

Coventry born Ska band, The Selecter, have announced that they are to play an exclusive gig to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album, ‘Too Much Pressure’.

The band, who are known for their 1980s hits ‘Missing Words’, ‘Three-Minute Hero’ and ‘Too Much Pressure’, will be fronted by the original iconic duo of Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson and Pauline Black.

The Selecter were one of the most influential 2 Tone bands of the late '70s, early '80s, and, along with The Specials, created music amidst a growing tide of social angst that, for many, captured the feeling of the early Thatcher years.

The album will be performed in its entirety at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom on Saturday, November 13.
