Q Awards – The winners

The winners of the annual Q Awards have been announced.

Having taken place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, the awards, which are in their 21st year, reflect the current vibrancy of the British music scene, with Plan B, Florence and The Machine and The xx all up for multiple awards.

Hosted by Al Murray, the awards were given out by an array of stars including Tim Burgess, Tinie Tempah and Ray Davies.

 

 


The winners of the 2010 Q Awards were as follows:

  • Best Track 2010 – Florence + The Machine – ‘You’ve Got the Love’
  • Breakthrough Artist – Plan B
  • Best New Act – Mumford & Sons
  • Best Video – Chase & Status ft Plan B – End Credits
  • Best Live Act – Green Day
  • Hall of Fame – Take That
  • Classic Songwriter – Neil Finn
  • The Next Big Thing – Claire Maguire
  • Q Idol – Madness
  • Q Hero – Chemical Brothers
  • Q Inspiration – Suede
  • Best Male - Paolo Nutini
  • Best Female – Florence + The Machine
  • Innovation in Sound – Mark Ronson
  • Best Album – The National – ‘High Violet’
  • Best Act in the World Today – Kasabian
  • Q Icon – Bryan Ferry
  • Classic Album – Wings – ‘Band on the Run’
