Susan Boyle still down to earth

In an interview tonight, Susan Boyle has revealed to Piers Morgan on his ITV1 show, 'Life Stories', that she puts "love of the job" before wealth, and has no interest in asking her manager where she is in the charts.

The overnight sensation, whose debut album 'I Dreamed A Dream' was the best selling CD of 2009, shot to fame earlier that year when she gave a tear-jerking performance of her hit by the same title on the UK show 'Britain’s Got Talent'.

During tonight's episode Boyle commented that she sees herself as "an ordinary person with a job to do" and simply wants to do the job as well as she can.

Despite her new found wealth, the Scottish singer admitted to Morgan that she is happy to exist on a weekly allowance of £300 ($485) to £500 ($800), quipping: "I'm always careful with money and thinks it's best to be sensible with it."

The star added that she's glad she has had the opportunity to be "the Susan Boyle" that nobody thought she could be.

Discussing the years of terrible bullying she endured, Boyle also revealed that the only person who had always believed in her was her mother, who sadly died before the star found fame.
