The Voice winner of 2015 returns to his fireman job

Stevie McCrorie, the winner of 2015's The Voice, has gone back to his fireman job.

The 31-year-old may have won last year's BBC singing contest, but he is now back fighting the flames at Kirkcaldy fire station in Fife, Scotland.

His debut single, 'Lost Stars', made the top ten in the UK charts when it reached No. 6.

His album, 'Big World', reached No. 35. Ricky Wilson was his coach on the show.

McCrorie told Metro.co.uk: "I have made the choice to return to my career as a firefighter to support my family while I also continue to pursue my music career alongside it.

"This last year has been an amazing journey and a dream come true on so many levels. I remain humbled and am so appreciative to my fans who've made this journy possible."

Last weekend, The Voice contestant, Beth Morris, quit the show when she revealed she was a drug addict.

This year's The Voice semi-finals took part yesterday (April 2).

The final of this year's series is set to take place next Saturday on April 9.
