Cheryl becomes a diva when 'other people aren't doing their job'

Cheryl spoke to The Daily Mirror at the Cannes Film Festival about recording her new album and her work ethic. She revealed:

"I’m excited, I’m ready to go again. I’m just working on different sounds and figuring stuff out at the moment. Am I nervous? Nah. Not now. Now I do it because I enjoy it. I’m not fearful of it. It’s what I love.

"That’s the reason to do it."

When asked if she has diva moments, she answered:

"Loads. I guess just when other people aren't doing their job it irritates me. If I've got to work hard I need them to work hard too."

The advice she would give her younger self would be:

"Just don't worry. It'll be fine. Don't care. Stop caring. I'd have told myself to stop caring what people think a lot earlier on."

She also finds it hard to take a compliment, she said:

"I find it a bit awkward when somebody is complimenting me to my face. I don't know whether to say 'Thank you' or 'Argh, stop it!'"

Cheryl attended the Cannes Film Festival on behalf of L'Oréal Paris, the festival's official beauty partner. She caused a stir when she turned on on the red carpet with new beau, Liam Payne.  It was their first official outing together.
