Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Brown have hinted that the Spice Girls may make a comeback by posting a video teaser onto YouTube today (July 8).

The video starts off with the threesome in bed with party hats:

"You've stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you. And we want to celebrate and have a party. And when we do, you're all invited.'

This announcement is then followed by text that makes a reference to their debut hit, 'Wannabe':

'We hope to tell you soon what you really really want."

A new website has emerged to host the video, www.spicegirlsgem.com. GEM are the trio's initials (Gery, Emma and Mel B).

The two other Spice Girls Victoria Beckham and Melanie C were absent from the footage.

Last month (June) Bunton explained she thought Spice Girls fans deserved a reunion.
