New Slacker Artist Showcase Station Debuts With Far East Movement

Far East Movement Radio Provides an Intimate Listening Experience Created and Hosted by the Entire Group

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 2, 2010 -- Far East Movement and Slacker, Inc. launches Far East Movement Radio, a station featuring songs from the Billboard chart-topping, electro/hip-hop quartet, as well as music from artists that have inspired their unique "Free Wired" sound and style. The station also features commentary and introductions from the group members themselves. Far East Movement Radio is now available for free in the Slacker Spotlight section on the web, on home entertainment devices and all leading smartphones from the Slacker Radio application.

Slacker Spotlight is a special station category that can be found on any Slacker Radio application. The Far East Movement Radio station can also be accessed directly on the web at: www.Slacker.com/FarEastMovement

Far East Movement (also known as FM) blend elements of hip-hop, pop, electro and dance to create an original sound and a unique radio experience. Growing up together in Los Angeles, FM was influenced by the thriving downtown LA scene that included a wide array of musical styles.

"One genre doesn't define us but rather an eclectic playlist ranging from Hip-Hop, Pop, Alternative, Dance, Electronic and even a little Country. It's all about keeping it free wired, out of the box and open minded," said Kev Nish, FM group member. "Far East Movement Radio on Slacker plays songs that inspire us now and ones that inspired us back in the day."

The Far East Movement Artist Showcase station was programmed by group members Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman. Pulling from the band's eclectic background the station provides listeners with a selection of the group's own music, as well as a mix of hundreds of hand-picked favorites from a wide array of the group's influences including Nine Inch Nails, Outkast, Daft Punk, Guns N Roses, Al Green and MGMT. In addition to the group's selections, each song from their latest album Free Wired is also programmed into the station.

"The Artist Showcase stations provide artists with a unique outlet to connect with their fans in a rich and engaging way," saidScott Riggs, Director of Radio at Slacker. "Far East Movement is a great fit for this partnership providing Slacker listeners the opportunity to discover extraordinary insight into the group's eclectic influences."

Whether listening on the web; Windows Phone 7, Windows Mobile, Palm webOS, Android, iPhone or BlackBerry smartphones; a Slacker-enabled Sony TV or Blu-ray player (or any of the many available devices the support Slacker Radio); Far East Movement Radio listeners have instant access to the group's favorite music along with artist profiles, album reviews and album cover art. About Far East Movement

Far East Movement has bridged the gap between underground party records and mainstream hip-hop and pop. Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman have taken the Los Angeles club scene global, already having multiple world tours, numerous song placements on television and film, and a #1 song on Los Angeles radio before signing their record deal. In 2010, Far East Movement made their major-label debut with the single "Like a G6" and the full-length album Free Wired. The single, "Like A G6" peaked at #1 in October and returned to recapture the #1 position in November and has remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for last 15 weeks. The track has also soared on many other charts including the rap, pop, dance/club, ringtones and digital-download charts helping their latest album, Free Wired, debut in the Top 25.
