Sophie Ellis-Bextor's advice to Anastasia about competing on Strictly Come Dancing

'I'm Outta Love' singer, Anastacia, has quipped that she will be a fiesty competitor on BBC One's new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 47-year-old said that previous contestant and fellow singer, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, has given her advice. She said: "I wanted this experience to be new and fun and exciting and she just said, 'don't let it get in your head'.

"So you really have to take the criticism as constructive criticism instead of [personal]. I'll try not to.

"I will literally scratch their [judges'] eyes out. I will fight. They should beware."

This year's competitors include Lesley Joseph, Will Young, Ed Balls,Tameka Empson, Greg Rutherford, Judge Rinder, Anastacia, Naga Munchetty, Daisy Lowe, Danny Mac, Louise Redknapp, Melvin Odoom, Ore Oduba and Laura Whitmore.
