The motor vehicle in which The Notorious B.I.G. was fatally shot in, has gone up for sale.

The rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in 1997. He was only 24 years old at the time.

Biggie's BMW SUV is currently listed on the Moments in Time memorabilia website, with an asking price of $1.5m (£1.2m).

According to Billboard, the car was sold to an anonymous woman back in 1997. The female used it as her family car, unaware of its history until 2005, when the LAPD informed her about its original owner.

The cops took the passenger door at the time as evidence during an investigation into B.I.G.'s murder, but have offered to return it once the car is sold.

A new documentary about The Notorious B.I.G. is also being made. The movie has been approved by the late rapper’s estate and will be filmed in collaboration with his mother, Voletta Wallace.

She said: “It brings so much joy to my heart that my son Christopher’s music has made such an impact on the music community.

“His stories have positively inspired so many young men and women over the years, and (are) still influencing the youth all over the world today.”
