The nominees for this year's British LGBT Awards were unveiled earlier this year.

Among the list are some of the biggest names in pop music and the entertainment industry, including: Elton John, Madonna, Adele, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony star Lauren Jauregui, Laverne Cox, RuPaul and James Corden. 

Music Artist of the year sees the likes of Miley Cyrus, Years & Years and Tegan and Sara nominated, while the LGBT Celebrity of the Year category includes Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Olly Alexander and SNL's Kate McKinnon. Sarah Garrett MBE, founder of the British LGBT Awards, said:

"The 2017 NatWest British LGBT Awards shortlist features inspirational people who have and continue to use their platform to promote and enhance LGBT rights all over the world.

"All nominees are absolutely deserving of their place on the shortlist."

Winners will be announced at the official ceremony on May 12.
