Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester gig set to be viewed by an estimated 1bn

Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert is set to be the most-watched to date show on earth, with even more viewers than Live Aid in the 1980s.

On May 22 a suicide bomber killed 22 people (including children) and injured dozens more at Manchester Arena in the UK.

Tomorrow night (June 4) the US pop star is holding a benefit concert in aid of the victims. The UK's BBC, America's ABC and at least 43 other countries and networks globally in China, Australia, South America and Asia are set to air the gig live in full. Many more countries are still in talks about climbing on board.

The event will also be streamed online, which means the viewing figure could reach one billion. It even surpasses the viewing audience of 1985’s Live Aid concert and is set to eclipse the 600 million who watched Nelson Mandela’s 70th birthday tribute concert in 1988.

A list of big names like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Little MixNiall Horan, Usher and Pharrell Williams are set to perform at the gig.

Yesterday (June 2) music stars including Ariana Grande arrived in the UK ahead of the concert. Many of them have reportedly arranged to quietly visit victims of the terror atrocity and their families to show their support in the wake of the attack.

Grande herself spent time with many of the young victims at the Royal Manchester in Britain yesterday (June 2).

The benefit concert kicks off tomorrow on Sunday (June 4) at 7pm UK time/2pm ET.

Twitter will also be live streaming the concert.
