Fifth Harmony & Gucci Mane’s “Down” is week's highest Billboard Hot 100 ranking

Fifth Harmony’s “Down (featuring Gucci Mane)” is the week's highest debut ranking at No.42 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The girl group, consisting of Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane, are joined on the track by the Atlanta rapper, Gucci Mane.

Billboard’s Hot 100 ranks songs from all genres based on combined activity from sales, streams and radio airplay.

The girls benefited from a launch-day performance on Good Morning America and their steamy music video also helped their weekly streaming total. It debuted on the final day of June 2-8 streaming tracking week.

“Down” received a great amount of airplay over the past week, but may have received even more support had Epic scheduled the impact for last week. The Hot 100 radio tracking week was June 5-11.

Dinah Jane said: “We’re featuring Gucci Mane, which is really special for us because we’re such huge fans. It’s special that someone like him is not only on the song, but also is being very intimate on the song.

“From a rapper, you never really get that - you never hear him sing that he’s down for his woman, that he loves her, that he’ll go out of his way to prove that ‘I’m down for you.’ So this record is super special to us.”

We're sure all Harmonizers have had the single on repeat since it dropped!
