Big-hearted star Lily Allen offers London Grenfell Tower fire victims a 'bed and tea'

Lily Allen has offered those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire a place to rest. The big-hearted 'LDN' singer tweeted:

"If anyone need a bed or a lift, or tea tweet me and I'll follow back. #NorthKensington."

She also encouraged people to donate 'Toiletries, sanitary products, portable phone chargers, toys, clothes' to #HelpGrenfellTower, Clements Church, 95 Sirdar Rd, W11 4EQ.

The fire started last night (June 13) at a London tower block in White City, North Kensington. At least 50 people have been taken to hospitals around the capital and some have died. Many are still reported missing.

The fire is thought to have been started by a faulty fridge. Forty fire engines and 200 firemen and women were called after 1am last night when the fire started on the second floor and all the way up the 27-storey residential building.

Emma Freud, the presenter, who lives in Notting Hill, tweeted:

"If anyone needs help and a roof, please let me know. We live very near and can look after you." Emma lives with her husband Richard Curtis, the screenwriter, producer and director behind box office hits such as Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Notting Hill. Curtis is the co-founder of Comic Relief.

Scarlett Moffatt tweeted:

Gary Kemp tweeted: "My heart goes out to all those poor Londoners suffering this morning. #GrenfellTower"

London's Lord Mayor, Sidiq Khan tweeted: "I'm truly devastated to see the horrific scenes of the major fire at #GrenfellTower in #Kensington."
