Fifth Harmony admit they're "excited as heck" for tonight's MTV VMAs

Fifth Harmony are set to hit the stage to give the performance of their lives at tonight's (August 27) MTV Video Music Awards.

The American girl group - made up of Dinah JaneNormani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui and Ally Brooke - dropped their self-titled third studio album on Friday (August 25) and are currently riding on a high, admitting that they're excited as heck about tonight's ceremony. Lauren Jauregui said:

“We’re extremely excited.

“This is definitely one of the biggest moments of our careers - something we’ve worked so hard for to get to a place where people would want us on the stage, so we’re excited as heck for it."

The girls teased: “There are so many surprises."

The foursome are nominated for three moonpeople this year in the Best Pop Video, Best Choreography and Song of Summer categories for their music video for “Down” featuring Gucci Mane.

Other performers announced include Demi Lovato, Lorde, P!nk, Post Malone, Ed SheeranMiley CyrusThe Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Shawn Mendes, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Julia Michaels and Rod Stewart with DNCE

The event is hosted by Katy Perry. Nominees include Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Ariana Grande, Noah Cyrus, Charlie Puth, Harry Styles, Major Lazer, Migos, Afrojack, Coldplay, Taboo, and Imagine Dragons.

Rap artist Lil Yachty will host the MTV red carpet pre-show at 7pm (ET).

Kendrick Lamar leads the nominees with a whopping eight noms, including Video of the Year, Best Hip Hop, and Best Cinematography for his “Humble” music video. 

The 2017 MTV VMAs will be aired live from The Forum in Inglewood, California tonight (August 27), at 8pm (ET/PT).
