Marilyn Manson Cancels 9 Shows After Being Hospitalized

Marilyn Manson has been forced to cancel 9 concerts after he was hospitalized on Saturday night (September 30).

During his Hammerstein Ballroom show, he attempted to climb up a stage prop of two oversized guns when the prop collapsed onto him, resulting in Manson being rushed to hospital in New York. 

He was singing his verson of The Eurythmics' 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)' at the time.

Manson was due to perform tonight (October 2) in Boston, then Huntington, Toronto, Camden, Columbus, Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City and Houston. All those concerts have now been cancelled. Currently, he is still due to return to his Heaven Upside Down Tour on October 15 when he's scheuduled to play Kansas City's Freaker's Ball. 

An official spokesmen for 'The Beautiful People' singer confirmed: "Marilyn Manson is being forced to cancel several of his October dates on his forthcoming US tour.

"On Saturday night, the legendary performer suffered an injury on stage towards the end of his set at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom causing him to cut the show short. He was treated for the injury at a local hospital and will be recuperating at home in Los Angeles.

"The shows from Boston, October 2 through Houston, October 14 will be rescheduled for a later date. Manson hopes to return to the stage soon, more details on upcoming shows to follow."

He is set to perform in Europe later this year, with dates scheduled as well in the United Kingdom for December.
