U2 return to SNL and Alex Baldwin plays Trump in Scrooge skit

Twenty two-time Grammy Award winners U2 joined SNL show host, Saoirse Ronan, as musical guests, marking the band’s fourth SNL performance and first network TV appearance in support of their legendary 14th album, “Songs of Experience,” which was released on Dec 1. U2’s North American tour, “eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE” kicks off in May of 2018.

Elsewhere in the programme, Alec Baldwin impersonated Donald Trump in a Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol-inspired comedy skit. Baldwin played the Scrooge part to former national security adviser, Michael Flynn's 'ghost of Christmas past,' except he was the 'ghost of witness flipped.'

The next SNL (December 9) will be hosted by James Franco and the musical guest will be SZA.

Foo Fighters appear on December 16 with Kevin Hart as the show host.
