Queen and Adam Lambert delight fans in Newcastle

As 2017 draws to a close, The Queen + Adam Lambert Tour rolled into Newcastle this week much to the delight of Queen fans and Glamberts alike.

Lambert has been touring the world and the UK and Ireland with the legendary British rock band throughout the year. They kicked off their North American summer tour in Phoenix, Arizona on June 24, as well as playing a Hollywood Bowl show earlier this year on June 26 and 27.

The anticipation at the Newcastle arena was as high as the spirit of the crowd, given it's been nearly three years since Brian May, Roger Taylor and the popular American singer performed in Tyneside.

The crowds amused themselves while waiting by performing a Mexican wave around the arena and clapping loudly, which Brian May caught on screen via a selfie stick.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Queen’s biggest-selling sixth studio album, "News of the World, which yielded their classic hits "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions". The UK rockers played their back catalogue in quick succession, fronted by Lambert, who together received a standing ovation at the end of the evening.
