Four men jailed over conning fans with fake Ed Sheeran tickets

Four men have been jailed after using fake tickets to gain admission into an Ed Sheeran concert in Singapore.

Two New Zealanders, One Australian and British male are all to serve a month behind bars due to their ticket touting.

The 56-year-old Australian, Paul Cosgrove, was sentenced yesterday (December 13) after admitting that he abetted 60-year-old British citizen Martin Keane to sneak fans into Sheeran’s sold-out show using fake “all area access family and guests” passes.

The fake passes were then handed from Cosgrove to Keane who sold them on with a Sg $150 mark-up. Keane took four fans into the concert across November 11 - 12 using the forged passes before he was spotted by security.

The two New Zealanders also used fake passes to sneak into the show and were caught by security offering to escort fans into the concert in exchange for a fee.

Prosecutors say Mr Cosgrove and Mr Keane used the tickets to con more than £1,100 out of unsuspecting fans.
