Adele joins the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Grenfell service in London's St Paul's Cathedral

Families involved in the tragic London fire at Grenfell Tower in the UK this year, attended a memorial service with Prince Charles, Willliam, Harry, Kate and Adele, at St Paul's Cathedral today (December 14).

Marcus Mumford from Mumford & Sons also attended with his wife and actress, Carey Mulligan.

The service marked 6 months since the tragedy unfolded in June, killing 71 people and injuring a further 70 at the 24-storey council block which had no fire precautions fitted.

Prime Minister Theresa May also attended, entering through a rear entrance. The UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was also present.

After the service, the families and friends of those affected by the event left the cathedral holding onto photos of their loved ones and bunches of flowers.

In August, Adele treated families and young survivors of the fatal blaze to a private screening of Despicable Me 3. She also attended a vigil at Grenfell Tower in June, where she hugged and comforted the grieving victims and survivors. The North London singer also turned up unannounced at the local fire station with cakes for the firemen to make them smile, after they were cleary traumatised having fought the fire and witnessing horrific scenes for days.
