Freedom: George Michael Director’s Cut documentary to hit international film festivals

The Director's Cut of the 'Freedom: George Michael' documentary is set to hit international film festivals

The feature-length film premiered on Channel 4 in October last year 2017 to coincide with the reissue of Michael's 'Listen Without Prejudice Vol.1'.

The original version was completed prior to Michael's untimely death at Christmas 2016 and then edited for a TV special on Channel 4 in the UK.

Directed by the late George Michael and long term friend, David Austin, 'Freedom: George Michael Director’s Cut' delves further into the making of 'Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1', as well as the subsequent court case.

It features a cast of contributors including his friend and neighbour, Kate Moss, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Liam Gallagher, Tracey Emin, James Corden and Ricky Gervais.

Freedom: George Michael Director’s Cut will be screened at film festivals around the world, starting with Documentary Edge Film Festival in New Zealand (13 May) and Krakow Film Festival (29 May).
