Louis Tomlinson among stars to celebrate England's World Cup match victory
Louis Tomlinson was among many Brits worldwide celebrating England's World Cup match win today in Russia.
England got through to the last 16 teams when they thrashed Panama with a record-breaking 6-1.
The team have now secured their place in the last 16 before their final Group G game with Belgium.
The hammering was met with cheers of excitment by Brits globally, including those in the music and entertainment world, with avid football fan Louis Tomlinson tweeting after their victory: "What a win for the #ThreeLions – and we're through to the #WorldCup knockout stage with a game to spare! 👍🏻"
Tomlinson regularly plays in Soccer Aid, as well as games to support the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice and also the MAESTRIO Charity Match.
In 2013, the singer was signed as a footballer by his local team Doncaster Rovers of the Football League Championship on a non-contract basis.
The last time England won the World Cup was back in 1966, so Brits' spirits are high that this could finally be the year "Football's coming home".
