Summer officially begins for 5SOS as their third album swoops in at No.1 US chart spot

5 Seconds of Summer's third studio album, 'Youngblood' lands straight in at No.1 in the Billboard Top 200 Albums this week. 

Both their self-titled 2014 album and 2015's 'Sounds Good Feels Good' also claimed the top spot in the U.S. charts on release. 

On hearing the news, 5 Seconds of Summer tweeted: "Youngblood is a certified billboard #1 album in America. You came together as people to get us our 3rd number one record for all the right reasons. Today you made history for 4 young men, and you are every reason why we feel like the luckiest people alive."

'Youngblood' was first announced for release on 22 June 2018, but its release date was later brought forward to 15 June 2018.

The Aussie band appeared live on TODAY's Citi Concert series on Friday (June 22) where they performed title track from the album (see below).
