Harry Styles won a prestigious O2 Silver Clef Award in London yesterday (July 6). 

Hailed the Best Live Act at the star-studded event, he beat off competition from Adele, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and Iron Maiden.

The Best Live Act Award is the only award at the event to be voted for by the public. 

Little Mix won the award last year. 

The award was sponsored by Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

Andrew Parsons of Ticketmaster said: “Harry Styles is a global sensation who won the hearts of many in One Direction and continues to do so in his solo career."

Other awards given out at the ceremony went to Roger Waters, Robert Plant, Stereophonics, Jorja Smith, Ellie Goulding, George Ezra, The Script, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe and Bastille.
