Louis Tomlinson: "Music is always my priority obviously"

Louis Tomlinson has been making headlines over the last week, with rumours about him being signed up as a new judge on the panel of the UK version of The X Factor circulating like wildfire.

The show is where Tomlinson first came to the public's attention and where One Direction as a boyband were formed. It's also where he performed his debut single "Hold On" with Steve Aoki only days after his mother's death.

Tomlinson released the single in 2016 on December 10. It debuted at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart, and No. 52 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance / Electronic Digital Song Sales. The accompanying music video was released on March 8 of 2017.

The latest rumour is that Simon Cowell is set to announce him as part of the judging panel later today (July 17) around 4pm at a press conference in London. The Sun newspaper have confirmed that Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field will also be judges.

Earlier today Tomlinson tweeted the following message to his fans: "Gonna do a little video message tonight to talk about everything. Music is always my priority obviously! Love you all."

The English singer-songwriter's fans are eager to hear if the news will also include information about his debut solo album, which they have patiently been waiting for, knowing that he had hoped to initially release it by this summer.

Not long ago we reported that the music star had changed management and marketing teams after a 2-year contractual term ended with James Grant Group Management. He confirmed on Twitter: "Everything with my new managers will be sorted."

Exactly when the new season of X Factor starts, no official announcements have yet been made.
