Sofia Carson was amongst the stars, including Ricky Martin and Rita Ora, who performed at UNICEF Italia's Summer Gala in Sardinia this weekend.

The event was presented by LuisaViaRoma, and took place at Villa Violina, at the seaside resort of Porto Cervo in the northern part of the beautiful Italian island. 

The kind-hearted Descendants 3 actress, philanthropist and singer, looked stunning as she performed her single Back to Beautiful with a grand piano accompanying her vocals.

One of the captions conveyed her delight at being asked to take part: "It was my honor to sing for you. @andreapanconesi from the bottom of my heart, thank you...

"You once said, “It doesn’t matter the color, religion or race. Children are children, and we are here for them. Only by joining together and uniting our forces can we make a difference.” That is exactly what we did here tonight. And that is something truly beautiful."

The charity event was to help raise funds to support UNICEF, who are the leading organisation providing care and protection for the most vulnerable children in danger around the world.

LuisaViaRoma CEO & Founder, Andrea Panconesi, said: “We started with 400 people, then we moved to 500, and now we are at almost 600, which is unbelievable. I wanted to do something extraordinary. We are here for the children. And I want people to have fun. We are doing it for a good cause, but it’s also a glamorous evening.”
