Ally Brooke confirms signing to Atlantic Records

Ally Brooke took time out from attending The Teen Choice Awards to talk about her solo work and signing to Atlantic Records.

Speaking on the red carpet, she revealed: "I'm doing phenomenal! I'm working on my solo music and that's like the greatest experience, and I've just signed to Atlantic Records!

"It's in partnership with Latium Artists, Charles Chavez. He's the best! I love him so much. We're doing this together, and I have the whole building rooting for me."

Chavez co-founded Latium Entertainment in 1999 with Debra Chavez. The company look after Pitbull and other Latin stars and has formed a joint partnership with Atlantic Records. They also have a publishing joint partnership with Sony ATV.

Brooke told KiisFM/iHeart Radio what it's like to be on the red carpet without the other Fifth Harmony girls.

She said: "It's different for sure, it's also really cool. It's so exciting! It's a new chapter in all of our lives and we had amazing 6 years and now we're kind of spreading our wings and flying."

On her new solo music, she revealed: "It will definitely be different from Fifth Harmony. I don't want to give too much away but definitely a lot of flavour will be going into it. Whatever you think that means!

"I'm so excited, you're definitely going to see a different 'Ally' like you've never seen before to be quite honest. A few hip shakes!"

Previously Brooke revealed that she's been busy in the studio with James Fauntleroy and Larrance Dopson recording her new sound.
