Louis Tomlinson and Ally Brooke attend Walk of Fame ceremony

Louis Tomlinson was one of the celebrities to attend the Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood yesterday (August 22).

Other attendees included: Adam Lambert, Ally Brooke, Leona Lewis, Heigh Klum, Mel B, Kelly Clarkson, David Foster, Sony Music CEO, Rob Stringer and the co-founder of Modest Managment, Harry Magee.

The star was laid to recognise music industry mogul, Simon Cowell, who was present with his family.

Speaking at the event, Cowell recognised that it's the artists like the former One Direction heartthrob Tomlinson who made the shows, which has now given him the recognition that he needed to get the Hall of Fame star.

He said: "I have to thank all of the agents and the producers and of course the artists. I mean, without artists, we have no show and we have no label. And what I’m most proud about I think over anything else is that we’ve become friends as well as business partners."

The Miss You singer updated his fans on his solo album progress. He tweeted: "Back to the studio for writing again today. Last few sessions have been going great. Moving along nicely!"

Brooke also spoke about her solo album plans earlier this week, saying: "We’re kind of just going with the flow, but you should definitely stay tuned. Sometime between now and 2022 AB1 is on its way!"

Brooke has recently signed with Atlantic Records, and Tomlinson signed with new management last month.
