Jade Thirwall on new Little Mix album: "This is definitely my favourite album"

Little Mix's Jade Thirwall has revealed her excitement about the group's upcoming fifth studio album.

The girl's previous record, Glory Days, is the longest charting album in the UK by any girl group - spending 92 weeks on the chart.

Little Mix are a global pop phenomenon who have to date sold more than 40 million records globally. This includes four platinum-selling albums and four UK No. 1 singles. 

They were also named the UK’s Most Watched VEVO Artist of 2017, with more than 189 million views in the UK this year.

Their Glory Days Tour sold more than 800,000 tickets, the biggest UK Arena tour for the last two years.

Speaking about their new album, Thirwall said: “This is definitely my favourite album, you can tell it’s come from us."

Thirwall was taking part in her first ever Pride event in Manchester this weekend. She surprised a group of young people who were taking part in the event on behalf of Stonewall by joining them at the front of their parade.

About their upcoming album, she revealed: “There’s a lot of female empowerment, lots of songs give a nod to being yourself. Through working with Stonewall I’ve become a better writer.

“I’m really excited for this album. We’re definitely ready to release something, we’re missing having our music out there.”

The 25-year-old pop star, together with bandmates Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne, should be releasing their new album extremely soon.

Little Mix have always been strong supporters of gay rights. Last month they unveiled Only You with Cheat Codes. The video, starring Peyton Listhad a strong LGBTQ message.

The UK's biggest girl group have continued to receive success this year with No More Sad Songs feat. Machine Gun Kelly reaching over 100 million Spotify streams and Wings reaching over 184 million YouTube views
