Adam Lambert and Queen unleash new backstage footage

Adam Lambert and Queen unveiled brand new behind-the-scenes backstage footage of their sold out O2 Arena concerts in London.

In the footage uploaded onto YouTube, the camera follows the 36-year-old around the backstage area as he gives a personal tour of his life on the road, taking the camera first to the catering department.

The video then cuts to concert footage of the shows with Lambert providing a narrative.

He says:"I feel incredible knowing we were able to sell out three London shows within the same week. Having just played London six months ago during the holidays!

"When I sing Who Wants To Live Forever I think about Freddie being taken away from us way too soon and being so ahead of his time.

"I think about that because in a way he is living forever, as we're singing these songs, we're still performing them for the audience. We're reminding them of Freddie.

"Freddie makes appearances during the show. We talk about Freddie. He is living on through his contribution, through his art.

"That's one of the biggest treats of being able to do this in my own way, sort of carry a torch for him and keep it burning.

"It really means a lot to me, I love that."

Lambert then takes the camera to a room where the MOSAIC young people are waiting for him, as he kindly invited them to one of their shows when he them in June.  He tells them about how he channels Freddie in his performances.

The Ghost Town star then introduces the camera to the various costumes on his stage clothes rail pointing out the Alexander McQueen trench coat that he bought and dared rip the leather sleeves off so that he could wear it on stage withouth getting too overheated.

Queen + Adam Lambert begin their Las Vegas residency this Saturday (September 1).
