The official music video for Rumors by R3HAB x Sofia Carson has arrived (see below).

Filmed on the famous Amalfi coast in Italy, the video was directed by Mario Gonsalves and produced by the Recent Company.

It captures the glory of a summer romance, depicting a leather-clad Carson, complete with a motorbike as she meets  at a gas station one night. The duo then embark on a romantic journey, with the backdrop of Europe's seductive Mediterranean coastline and countryside throughout. 

About the new single, the 25-year-old actress and singer wrote:

“At the VMAs I was asked what Rumors was about & I said that it flips the old fashioned ‘fairytale’ on its head.

"with the intention to empower women.

“cause (guess what) girls can play the game just the same as guys, and we can win.” 

About Rumors, Producer R3HAB said:

"I loved working on this record with Sofia. When she cut the track with her vocals, I knew we had something special. The track is playful and edgy, but also has somewhat minimal production."

R3HAB has previously collaborated with Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.

The track was released a week ago by Hollywood Records, who also released Carson's previous singles, Ins And Outs, Love is The Name and Back to Beautiful. 

The duo's new track impressively earned the title of second most added song in the world out of new music last Friday on August 24, and just like the sea in the video, it's already making waves.
