Harry Styles generously donates $42,000 to Time's Up Movement

The proceeds from Harry StylesLos Angeles tour has been given to the Time's Up Legal Fund.

The 24-year-old is one of just nine men who have donated more than $40,000 to the fund. The Time's Up Movement helps provide legal support for those who have experienced sexual harassment, assault or abuse in the workplace.

Styles raised money for 60 charities, and non-profits during his world tour, distributing a reported $1.2 million (£921,090).

That money came from the proceeds of both ticket and merchandise sales at each stop on his tour, with Styles selecting a local group in each city.

He called the campaign Treat People With Kindness, and sold custom merchandise with the words to benefit these efforts.

Over 60 charities have benefited and were selected from some of the tour destinations. For example, Sternenbrüke is a children's hospice in Hamburg and the Gay Lesbian & Straight Education Network, March for Our Lives and The Hunger Project.

Philanthropy isn't the only selfless act Styles has been performing whilst on tour. The kind-hearted global music star also decided to ban single-use plastic whilst he was on the road.
