What we know about Zayn's upcoming album so far

This week Zayn announced that his upcoming second album will be called Icarus Falls and will feature a staggering 27 tracks.

It was also unveiled that the album is scheduled for release this month on December 14.

Icarus Falls is the follow-up to the music star's 2016 record Mind of Mine.

2018 has been a hive of activity for the former One Direction member. In March his website crashed when he released his new track, Don't Matter. In the same month, the singer-songwriter told his fans that his album is finished and then unveiled a 10-second teaser for Let Me.

In April this year, the Bradford boy told Zane Lowe about the album: "It's going to be different to anything anyone has done before, I don't think anyone has done it this way."

In the same month he told Z100 New York that he was rehearsing and "really excited for touring".

In May, Zayn shared his new song Entertainer as the third track to be released from Icarus Falls.

He then shared a few covers such as Beyoncé's Me, Myself and I, Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love, and Bed Peace by Jhené Aiko.

In July he also released Sour Diesel

In August he released a new single featuring Timbaland called Too Much, and in October Zayn released Fingers.

Last month (November), he also released No Candle No Light featuring Nicki Minaj, as well as  a dubstep-style version of the Race 3 song, Allah Duhai.

Zayn then released a lyric video for his new song Rainberry this week on November 29.

Including last year's Dusk Till Dawn with Sia, that makes 13 tracks that could all be marked for inclusion in the 27-track Icarus Falls
