Ariana Grande’s next single will be called 7 Rings.

The Thank U, Next star broke the announcement in a reply to one of her Twitter followers: “it’s 7 rings (sic)” she wrote when a fan asked what her next single will be. 

Grande had earlier given details about why the track was called 7 Rings. In a deleted tweet, she said that there were seven pieces of jewellery that belonged to her and others.

She wrote on December 1 2018 : "me, vic, courtney, alexa, tayla, njomza, kaydence (and my mom and nonna so technically nine but they got theirs after song was done) (sic)”

She continued that a bad day instigated the songwriting. 

She said: “well ............. ‘twas a pretty rough day in nyc. my friends took me to tiffany’s. we had too much champagne. i bought us all rings.  it was very insane and funny. & on the way back to the stu njomza was like ‘b***h, this gotta be a song lol’. so we wrote it that afternoon. (sic)”

It was announced this week that Grande is set to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April this year, alongside Tame Impala and Childish Gambino.
