BTS make history with Wembley Stadium gig

BTS have made the history books by becoming the first South Korean group to headline Wembley Stadium ever.

The gig was just the third UK show the band have ever played. It's also the first of two totally sold out shows for the boy group at the prestigious venue.

The sold out show saw 60,000 fans screaming for their heros, who performed a staggering set of over 20 songs.

The late Freddie Mercury was also honored at the event during one of the band's encores as Wembley Stadium was the venue for Live Aid, the legendary charity event that BTS had grown up watching. Jin encouraged the adoring fans to sing Mercury's famous ad lib: "Ay-Yo!"

The superstars continue to go from strength to strength globally.

They are the first Korean artist in the US to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart for two consecutive albums, the first Korean artist to have four RIAA© certified Gold singles and the only group to win Top Social Artist for three consecutive years at the Billboard Music Awards (2017, 2018 and 2019).

They also recently kicked off Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series in New York's Central Park last month (May).

In the UK, BTS scored No. 1 with Map Of The Soul: Persona, and had their biggest hit single to date when Boy With Luv entered the UK Top 20.
