Jamiroquai First UK Tour In Over Five Years Announced For April 2011Following the huge international success of 7th album 'Rock Dust Light Star', which charted in more than 20 countries (more than any other UK act currently), Jamiroquai announce their first UK tour in over five years for next April and the release of a new single entitled 'Lifeline' on January 24th 2011. The band will also be touring Europe in the spring preceding the UK dates. Frontman Jay Kay said this week: "I can't wait to get back out on the road and tour, particularly round the UK where we haven't toured for a while. We're looking forward to playing stuff from the new album, as well as giving you new twists on plenty of the old hits." Skitting between a hook laden chorus replete with honky tonk piano, and a lilting verse featuring 70's style funk horns and lilting strings, 'Lifeline' (released 24th January, Mercury Music Group) is the second single taken from the Top 10 album, Rock Dust Light Star, and a track that's bound to become a firm live favourite during this year's arena tour. With a seventh hit album under their belts and adding to their 25 million plus albums sold to date, plus a shelf full of awards, including five MTV gongs, an Ivor Novello and a Grammy Jamiroquai, are a band on fire (as witnessed by those who saw their Hyde Park Show with Stevie Wonder last summer). Their first tour in 5 years is sure to be a must see for fans old and new.
