Alessia Cara has made her acting debut as the lead voice of Jane in the upcoming animated Netflix movie, The Willoughbys. She also co-wrote and recorded the film's lead song, “I Choose".

Directed by Kris Pearn and based on the book by Lois Lowry, the movie is set to be released later this month in 190+ countries globally. It also stars Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Terry Crews, Martin Short, Jane Krakowski, Sean Cullen and Ricky Gervais.

Convinced they’d be better off raising themselves, the Willoughby children hatch a sneaky plan to send their selfish parents on vacation. The siblings then embark on their own high-flying adventure to find the true meaning of family.
