'Night Falls' from the Disney movie, Descendants 3, has surpassed an incredible 200 million views on YouTube.

The song is sung by Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Thomas Doherty, China Anne McClain and Dylan Playfair.

The plot sees Mal [Dove Cameron], Evie [Sofia Carson], Carlos [Cameron Boyce] and Jay [Booboo Stewart] return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new batch of villainous offspring to join them at Auradon Prep. When a barrier breach jeopardizes the safety of Auradon during their departure off the Isle, Mal resolves to permanently close the barrier, fearing that nemeses Uma [China Anne McClain] and Hades [Cheyenne Jackson] will wreak vengeance on the kingdom. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon, and it's up to Mal and the VKs to save everyone in their most epic battle yet.

'Night Falls' is the fourth song in the movie and begins with the Descendants in battle against enchanted suits of armor, set on them by an evil Audrey [Sarah Jeffery]. Mal and Uma begin to argue on whose battle plan to follow until Evie steps in to remind them that for the time being, they are on the same side, so to put aside their differences in order to win. In the end, they join forces and do win, defeating the armor.

In 2019 Disney announced that it was canceling a red carpet premiere originally planned for July 22 due to the tragic death of cast member, Cameron Boyce. The television movie, dedicated to Boyce's memory, premiered as scheduled on Disney Channel on August 2, and in other parts of the world on October 12.

Descendants 3 (Original TV Movie Soundtrack) was released on August 2, 2019. It reached #7 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and #1 on the Billboard Kid Albums chart.
