Bruno Mars has vowed that he won't make the same mistake again after he was charged with drug possession last year.

A toilet attendant suspected him of snorting cocaine in a toilet cubicle at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, as he was "taking a really long time". 

The 25-year-old told the American edition of GQ Magazine:

"I'm not gonna preach that I'm a role model. I'm a f***ing musician! But I've learned people are watching, so don't do nothing stupid."

Mars was arrested last September in Las Vegas after being caught with cocaine. This year he was fined $2,000 and ordered to complete 200 hours of community service.

The 'Grenade' singer said later that he had done a "foolish thing" and had "never used drugs before".
