Justin Bieber set to drop new single 'Holy' on September 18

Justin Bieber has confirmed that his new single, 'Holy,' is set to be released this Friday on September 18.

The Grammy Award-winning global superstar's new track will arrive just months after 'Intentions (feat. Quavo)', reached No. 1 at Top 40 radio in June - his seventh No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart.

The 26-year-old star has collaborated with Chance The Rapper on the new track, dubbing it the start of a "new era".

Taking to Instagram (see below), he wrote alongside the artwork: "New era. New single. It’s begins. #HOLY this Friday ft. @chancetherapper jbsoon.com (sic)".

The jbsoon.com website debuts the artwork in full, with two clickable links that allow you to pre-save the track on Spotify or pre-add it on Apple Music.

Bieber also shared a snap from the set of the music video for the single recently, on which he has teamed up with director Colin Tilley. The photo sees Bieber and the filmmaker sitting on chairs, with the singer covered in mud.

'Holy' is the first song from the Canadian star since his studio album, Changes, which was released this year on February 14.

Meanwhile, Bieber is set to head out on his 'Changes Tour' in 2021. He was forced to postpone his tour in support of his fifth studio album before its May 14 start date this year due to the coronavirus pandemic and will hit the road next year instead.

In a statement, he said: "I can't wait to get out there and connect with my fans on this tour. We've been through so much ... We've come to understand how much we need each other, and how meaningful these moments can really be."

Bieber will kick off his world tour - his first in four years - on June 2, 2021 at San Diego's Pechanga Arena. It will include five Canadian dates in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, as well as new arena stops in New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago and more. $1.00 from each ticket purchased will be donated to the Bieber Foundation, which is committed to supporting mental health wellness.

His fifth studio album, Changes, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in February. It also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart - a career first for him. The album reached No. 1 in the UK and Canada, and clocked in at No. 1 on Apple Music in 85 countries. It has sold 4 million album equivalents worldwide.

Over the course of his career, Bieber has amassed more than 68 billion streams and more than 68 million album equivalents worldwide.
