Bob Dylan plays Vietnam

Bob Dylan played his debut gig in Vietnam yesterday (April 10).

Around 4,000 fans turned up to see him at RMIT University in Ho Chi Minh City.

The show's set list was approved beforehand by the communist country's government but promoter, Rod Quinton said that no restrictions were imposed.

However, his famous protest songs such as 'Blowin' In the Wind' and 'The Times They are A-Changing'", which came to symbolise the anti-Vietnam war movement in the 60's, were not played.

Dylan's set-list was as follows:

'Gonna Change My Way Of Thinking'
'It Ain't Me, Babe'
'Beyond Here Lies Nothin''
'Tangled Up In Blue'
'Honest With Me'
'Simple Twist Of Fate'
'Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum'
'Love Sick'
'The Levee's Gonna Break'
'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall'
'Highway 61 Revisited'
'Spirit On The Water'
'My Wife's Home Town'
'Jolene'
'Ballad Of A Thin Man'
'Like A Rolling Stone'
'All Along The Watchtower'
'Forever Young'

The Vietnamese concert followed Dylan's first ever Chinese concert earlier this month (April 6) which took place at the Beijing Workers Gymnasium.
