Miami, FL (April 18, 2011) — Juanes, Lucero, Marc Anthony, Chino y Nacho, Dyland & Lenny, and Roberto Tapia, are among the list of Latin music artists confirmed to perform at the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm®. They join the star-studded line up of performers that include Maná, Enrique Iglesias, Luis Fonsi, Cristian Castro, Jencarlos Canela, Gloria Trevi, Pitbull, Camila, Don Omar and Banda El Recodo. The 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm®is the longest running and most prestigious awards show in the Latin music industry and it will take place on Thursday, April 28 starting with the red carpet at 7PM/6c at the BankUnited Center in Miami, Florida, airing live on Telemundo.
Named Latin Music’s “Star of the Decade” by Billboard; “One of the top 20 global music icons of the last 50 years” by CNN, and fresh off finishing the first leg of his very successful P.A.R.C.E. tour, Juanes returns to perform at the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm®. Beloved Mexican singer/actress Lucero, with more than three decades in the music industry and more than 19 recorded albums, also joins the top notch list of performers. Marc Anthony, the biggest selling salsa artist of all time and a true ambassador of Latin music and culture who is up for six awards this year for his successful “Iconos” album will also hit the stage for a memorable performance. In the urban music genre, music fans will enjoy performances by the sensational Venezuelan reggaeton duo Chino y Nacho, up for nine Billboard Latin Music Awards earned for their album “Mi niña bonita,” and Puerto Rican duo Dyland & Lenny, whichcontinues to increase their popularity in the U.S., and Latin-America, and is a finalist for Latin Rhythm Airplay, Artist of the Year, Duo or Group. In the Regional Mexican music genre, Norteño and Banda singer and composer, Roberto Tapia, will delight fans with his performance.
