NEW YORK, May 11, 2011 -- Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will premiere the new video for "(It) Feels So Good," his first-ever U.S. solo single, on "American Idol" airing Thursday, May 12. The video was directed by Ray Kay (Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert). Tyler, along with Jennifer Lopez, joined the "American Idol" judges panel in January 2011 and is playing a key role in the show's current 10th season success.
"(It) Feels So Good" is available now on iTunes and all DSPs from Columbia Records.
Co-penned by Tyler and longtime collaborator Marti Frederiksen, "(It) Feels So Good" showcases one-man band Tyler on vocals, guitar, harmonica, keys and percussion backed up by an ensemble including "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson on bass guitar and Nicole Scherzinger on backing vocals.
Tyler debuted the single on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" on Monday, May 9. Since the premiere over 65 multi-format radio stations have played "(It) Feels So Good."
"Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?: A Rock 'n' Roll Memoir," Tyler's long-awaited autobiography, has just been published by Ecco/HarperCollins.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is featured on the covers of the May 6 issue of People magazine and the May 12 issue of Rolling Stone.
