‘New Years Day’ is the new single from BROTHER, taken from their upcoming Stephen Street produced album 'Famous First Words', which is due for release on 1st August 2011.
The band returned from their first tour of the West Coast, USA recently. On their way home they dropped in to perform to millions of American viewers on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ on CBS in New York. They will return in July to perform on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on ABC in LA before doing an East coast tour.
Having just returned home from an extensive tour of the UK (which inclued their biggest show to date at London’s Heaven), Brother will be performing at Ibiza Rocks, Mallorca Rocks, Rockness and Isle of Wight festivals in June. They’ll also be joining their hero Morrissey on a run of dates leading up to what is set to be a huge performance on The Other Stage at Glastonbury.
Japan’s biggest rock magazine Rockin’On will run a cover feature on BROTHER this month (June), which preceeds their debut performance in the country at Summersonic Festival in Tokyo in August and a 5-date tour.
BROTHER, with their classic British rock’n’roll sound and swaggering confidence, are quickly creeping into the nation’s consciouness with radio support from Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton at Radio 1, and XFM London and Manchester, features in NME, Q, The Guardian, Sunday Times, The Sun, The Fly and more, and TV appearances on Soccer AM on Sky, and CNTRL TV and Live at Abbey Road on Channel 4.
