RIVAL SONS ADDED TO T IN THE PARK BILL, AND RELEASE LTD EDITION VINYL“Rival Sons rock out the blues, with the demeanour of early Led Zep or Free” – Clash “…blues romps such as Young Love swing a lot harder than they have any right to be” - Observer “…akin to early Led Zeppelin and Cream….a powerful dose of Motown” - Metal Hammer “…imagine Black Crowes crossed with Aerosmith, and more than a hint of Zeppelin – that’s close. A band who cite Leadbelly, Muddy Waters and The Who as influences” - Classic Rock “…balls out hippy party anthems” - NME One of America’s hottest new bands has just been added to the T in the Park bill. California’s Rival Sons, will play the Kinross Festival on 10th July, as well as Sonisphere on 9 July and High Voltage Festival on 23rd July. The band have also added their own headline shows in Leeds on 12th July and London’s Borderline on July 13th. The album “Pressure and Time”, which is 10 tracks of spiritually inclined, blues infused rock ‘n’ roll, explodes with rhythm, groove, and a powerful dose of Motown. Singer Jay Buchanan exudes lashings of soul and rock swagger, referencing Steve Marriott, Steven Tyler and Robert Plant. Released this week, it is available on CD as well on a special gatefold sleeve vinyl format. On heavyweight 180 gram vinyl, the package includes an exclusive signed Rival Sons black and white photo, an A2 tour poster as well as the CD. Buchanan says “Vinyl is making a strong return. I know there are a lot of people who are gonna read about our influences and think we are some kind of throwback. Not true. Vinyl is current!” The album is also available on iTunes, with two exclusive bonus tracks at http://j.mp/l09Sji Watch RIVAL SONS' incredible new video for the track "Pressure and Time" below or hear a different side to them here.
